trace has learned well. 3.5 years old, and already taking the bike over a self-constructed jump!they're actually clean!
the children were all clean, so i took pictures of them. unfortunately, trace had just woken up from a nap and jade was a bit out of sorts... but i got a couple decent pictures :).

i know, i know, no helmets. but honestly, that thing is so small and trent is a good driver...

yesterday trace went over with trevor and trevor's friend wade and their dirt bikes. he loves the dirt bikes... he and jade just got a very small one (pw50); but until they can ride a bike without training wheels, they definately can't ride a dirt bike. someday...

power rangers
who do you think is more enthralled?trace knew all about power rangers when he arrived, complete with automan gear (automan is the asian equivilent of power rangers) so now we watch both automan and power rangers.
now trace's bedroom (because it is so huge) has been converted into a playroom, too, complete with a television. that is why they are sitting on his bed :). even as i post this, they are watching yet more thrilling action-packed, universe-saving television!

july 4th

i'm back :).when i came home i was astonished how far trace's english had come... it's really good; virtually no chinese any more, besides the phrases that have become part of our vocabulary. he was very excited that i brought home more automan dvds, swords, a new automan mask and chinese fruit snacks. he doesn't know it yet, but i also bought an automan outfit for him.
on the 3rd of july, everyone but my jetlagged self went to see fireworks. everytime there was a green one, trace would yell his name. everytime there was a pink one, jade would yell her's. the next day, father and the boys bought LOTS of fireworks which they set off at home. they are what's pictured above. i would have taken more pictures, but it's hard in the dark :).
