two jade-isms from today:

1. kelsey, childrens don't eat spiders.
2. mama, daddy knows how to ride his dirtbike without training wheels!

which means we're exactly one month away from jade's fourth birthday. having trace being four while jade is still three has been rough for someone... :)
starting on friday (thru this coming friday) trevor's class is building their homecoming float in our shop. this has been well accepted by trace and jade. all their friends are here, all the time. they have been here all weekend. there is never a shortage of adoring classmates and mothers. also, there is a never ending supply of pretzles and chips.
trace and jade are going to preschool three times a week: monday, wednesday, friday. jade loves it, and would go all day everyday if she could. trace is a bit more "normal" and often says he doesn't want to go... but sometimes he says he does like it. and having jade there makes it relatively painless.
right now trace, jade and trent are watching power rangers. power rangers is by far the television program of choice in our household at this time. it's a good thing there is a channel that plays it virtually all the time. they are also looking at a magazine (kid's costumes and toys) and pointing out what they want. which pretty much covers everything featured :).

6 months ago today we got trace.

we had chinese vegetable stirfry with lots of mushrooms (trace's favorite) for dinner. washed it down with apple juice (the beverage of choice).
we went swimming.
he wore his automan outfit.
he got 3 immunization shots.
he is now 40 inches tall and 37.8 pounds.
he's watching automan with jade right now.
