still just 2 :)

ni hao! we made it... barely... i would not reccomend 30+ hour travel days- they get LONG :)... there came a point where the polished granite floor of the beijing took on bed like qualities. i laid down using my backpack as a pillow and was out cold. we were both also able to sleep on our LONG flight and on the 2.5 hr. one from beijing to fuzhou (interestingly, a flight FULL of children). we made it to fuzhou around 10:30, and were in bed by 1am. the hotel here is lovely, our guide is nice and very on top of things, and the beds are hard (but they are better than the floor or an airplane).
we will get trace around 4pm today. our guide will call us down to the 3rd floor. there is another family flying here today who will be recieving a boy under 2 also from fuzhou. i will try to post again later tonite: the business center is open till 11. the internet isn't too awfully slow (faster than home, that's for sure) so i should be able to post pictures without too much difficulty.
not too much jetlag this morning- we were just too tired :). the breakfast buffet is great... right up there with the one in urumqi, not quite the white swan though. we even had the option of liver flavored congee; we both passed, as tempting as it sounded.
this morning i looked out the window and was amazed at all the GREEN. there are palm trees and last nite the driver left his window partially open as he took us from the airport to the hotel. needless to say, i am wearing my flip flops :).
father, trevor, trent & jade: hope you are all getting along ok! how much snow did you end up with? is zeb keeping you all out of mischief?
i think that is about all for this very moment... hopefully i'll post more later!

Kelsey,
So glad to hear that you made it okay. I remember that flight. That is one thing I am not excited about.
I kknow you two are so excited underneath all of that exhaustion about finally getting to meet Trace.
I can't wait to see the photos.
