trace

-as you can see below, on monday we planted flowers by the house. we don't plan an awful lot of flowers (thank goodness for perennial landscaping!), just enough to give the children the experience, i guess. as you can see, they both enjoyed digging around and then planting the hua (flowers) themselves. and watering them.
-ah yes, water. since it has been warmer, trace and jade have been enjoying the water more and more everyday. they love to turn on the spigot and run the water. they love to make mud. they love to get in the mud. you probably get the picture :).
-trace's english is coming right along. it has really exploded this past week/last few days. it has been obvious for a while that he understands all of what we say, but now the responses are coming. and it's not just a word here and there, but full sentences. it kind of surprises me when i hear it, i'm so used to hearing chinese not english. on monday we will have been home for 2 months, so i guess it's right about time.
-the boy likes strawberries and oranges.
-he is just about into all 4t clothes now. that puts him 2 full sizes ahead of jade.
